Data Scientist

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Consultant with deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art deep learning frameworks. You'll collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives and address challenges related to enhancing customer satisfaction and optimizing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide analytic solutions that positively address their needs.
· Conduct discovery sessions, workshops and whiteboard sessions to identify, understand and define customer needs, objectives, roadmaps and/or business requirements to design solutions that can best address existing or prospective clients.
· Communicate business requirements and context to the offshore delivery team and work hands-on and in partnership with offshore team to deliver on projects
· Design and train deep learning models using transformer architectures such as BERT, GPT, and their variants to tackle challenging NLP tasks such as text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and machine translation.
· Conduct comprehensive data analysis, feature engineering, and preprocessing to extract meaningful insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
· Fine-tune pre-trained transformer models on domain-specific data and optimize model performance using techniques such as transfer learning and domain adaptation.
· Create presentations and present to senior executives (VP, Directors) to effectively articulate eClerx value proposition. Lead the development and delivery of these technical presentations, demonstrations, proposals and reviews.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders, to integrate data science solutions into production environments and ensure scalability and reliability.
· Drive all aspects of projects and Proofs of Concepts, from requirements to solution design to delivery and implementation.
· Maintain a good understanding of industry trends and how those trends are reflected in our solution approach
· Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance on leveraging data science and AI to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on machine learning, deep learning, or artificial intelligence.
· 4+ years of experience as a customer facing data science / analytics consultant.
· Understanding of transformer architectures and hands-on experience with implementing and fine-tuning transformer-based models for NLP tasks using frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers.
· Strong background in machine learning, statistical analysis, forecasting, data analysis and data visualization, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
· Experience working with large-scale datasets, distributed computing frameworks, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.
· Smooth communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Passionate about working with complex datasets and developing solution frameworks for ambiguous business questions and problems.
